Biography
Scott H. Brandt is a senior partner of the firm practicing in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is a 1988 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Mr. Brandt is also a 1992 graduate of the Temple University School of Law where he graduated cum laude and was a member of the Temple Law Review. He is admitted to practice before the state courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Western District of Pennsylvania, and the District of New Jersey, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Brandt has been published in the Temple Law Review of 64 Temple L. Rev. 1007 (1991) and has achieved the highest Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV. Mr. Brandt represents plaintiffs and defendants in the following areas of litigation: commercial litigation, creditors' rights, collections, confession of judgment practice, commercial and residential landlord-tenant matters, bankruptcy litigation, mechanics' liens, injunctions and plaintiffs' personal injury. His transactional practice includes business entity formation, shareholder, operating and partnership agreements, purchases and sales of businesses and real estate, and secured transactions.
Mr. Brandt's clients include real estate developers, contractors, title insurance companies, mortgage companies, commercial and residential landlords, businesses and individual home buyers.
Recently, in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Mr. Brandt successfully defended a real estate developer in a case brought against him by a purchaser over the location of two parking spots seeking a quarter million dollars in damages.
Mr. Brandt is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association and has taught and lectured on real estate transactions.
Mr. Brandt is married and has two boys and a girl. He was formerly very active in youth sports in Southern New Jersey where he coached several teams for many years.
